Hemp & Pear Breakfast Smoothie

ImageThis is the perfect balance between a chocolately treat and a healthy green smoothie. I added Bhringngaraj powder, as it helps to promote strong shiny hair and gently detoxifies all channels of the body.
 
Large handful of baby spinach
1 scoop chocolate flavoured hemp protein powder
1 ripe Bartlett pear
1 teaspoon Bhringngaraj powder
1 teaspoon ground flax powder
1 teaspoon raw hemp hearts
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1 cup vanilla almond milk
 
Combine all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and then pour into your favourite glass or
mason jar. Top with pear pieces and hemp hearts. Enjoy while cold ❤

Italian Style Sauteed Greens

Since this winter seems to be never ending, I found myself craving some warm sautéed greens. Cooking them is way is always reminiscent of summer. This recipe is a super simple, but also delicious way to ensure you are getting enough green vegetables in your diet.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons oil and 1 tablespoon butter

3 cloves garlic, sliced

1/2 bunch Swiss Chard (ribs and leaves, chopped separately)

1/2 bunch Kale (leaves chopped and stem removed)

Couple handfuls of Baby Spinach

3 tablespoons golden raisins

Sea salt an freshly ground pepper taste

 

Directions

Heat oil and butter in large skillet. Add the garlic and lightly sauté for about a minute. Add the chard stems and kale leaves and begin to sauté covered until softened. Add swiss chard and cook for one more minute then add spinach and raisins. Cook until everything is softened, then season with salt and pepper. Enjoy while still warm.
